More Than a Service – A Shared Experience
At iCommunicate, we believe that everyone deserves to be heard — in their own way, on their own terms.
Founded by Caytlin Weir, a qualified social worker and AAC user, iCommunicate exists to support people with disability to shape their own support systems through personalised communication tools and mentoring. Whether it’s creating a video that shows how you like your meals prepared or guiding you through your first experience using a high-tech AAC device, our work is grounded in lived experience, respect, and human rights.
Hi, I’m Caytlin — a social worker, proud AAC user, and founder of iCommunicate.
I started this service because I know what it’s like to have communication needs that aren’t always well understood. I’ve been using AAC since I was 12 years old, and I bring both personal insight and professional knowledge into every part of my work.
My particular area of focus is working with people who, like me, live with a physical disability. I believe there is huge value in seeing someone like you succeed in communicating — someone who understands your body, your needs, and your goals. Because of my own movement limitations, I’m best suited to working with people who have similar physical access needs, rather than those who require movement-based or sensory-focused support.
